There are many ways have fun and stay fit at the same time. Here are some normal and some not-so-regular activities our guests have sometimes tried
Kite Surfing
The long strech of beach a few minute's walk away is truly a paradise for kite surfers. The brisk wind the often comes in the summer months makes this place perfect for the experienced surfer. Local shops offer lessons for beginners and experiences surfers.
Water Skiiing
A laguna a few miles away is a great place for water-skiing.
Sailing
Cape Town has a long sailing tradition. If you like to watch the sport, you can watch the beginning of the yearly Cape to Rio race that starts in December. You can also rent a boat and explore some of the area by yourself.
Horse riding
Shark Cage Diving
For the thrill of a lifetime, you can visit one of the world's fiercest animals in their own home. Surrounded by an extra-sturdy steel cage, you are lowered into the ocean where the Great White might pay you a visit.
Kayaking on the Lagoon
Surrounding areas of Cape Town can be panoramically viewed by taking helicopter flights.
Surfing
Home to some of the world's best breaks, South Africa has a great surfing tradition. Many great breaks are within driving distance from Cape Town, including the infamous Dungeons break. Here is a good listing of surfing spots.
